About Me
I am a political scientist that studies the intersections of contentious politics, political violence, human rights, and the law. My work has been featured in publications including the Journal of Human Rights Practice and the Washington Post.
I defended my dissertation titled “Institutionalizing Atrocity: An Analysis of Civil War Legacy, Post-Conflict Governance, and State Behavior” on December 2, 2019 and received my PhD from the University of North Texas in May 2020. I received my JD in 2013 from Syracuse University with a focus on National Security and Human Rights Law. When not editing my dissertation or working on a backlog of working papers, I serve as a researcher for the Global Terrorism Database at the Consortium for the Study and Response to Terrorism (START) at the University of Maryland. I also teach select courses as an adjunct professor at Utica College.
